Dr. Alan Rathburn is a licensed Chiropractor serving the Clinton community.
Born in Manhattan, Kansas, Dr. Rathburn is the second of two sons and attended elementary school in Wichita Falls, Texas. He graduated from Warren Central High School in Vicksburg, Mississippi and then attended Midwestern State University on a soccer scholarship, majoring in liberal arts. Upon completion of his undergraduate career, he attended and graduated from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas in 1985.
He has worked as a practicing chiropractor in Mississippi since 1986 and has run the Rathburn Chiropractic Clinic for over 20 years in Clinton, Mississippi.
His post graduate work has specialized in neck and sports injuries, having completed his certification as a strength and conditioning specialist through the NSCA. His neck injury and whiplash certification was attained through the prestigious Spine Research Institute of San Diego (www.srisd.com) in 2002.
He is a contributing author to the book Neck Pain, Neck Pain, You Don't Want It, You Don't Need It published in 2007 in conjunction with long time friend and colleague Dr. Pete Fernandez. He is a member of the Mississippi Chiropractic Association (www.mschiro.org), American Chiropractic Association (www.acatoday.org), Clinton Chamber of Commerce, and the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress (www.foundation4cp.com).
